Soon after Damien's return from Turkey, I went for a run in ill-fitting sneakers (expensive defense force ones that have never felt quite right).
Needless to say I won't be wearing them again! It is taking ages for the bruising to disappear.
Hannah decided that she had to have a photo of her feet too. Crocs are awesome.

Ouch! This is why I ride bikes, not run... actually it's not, but I'll pretend!
Horray for crocs... but don't run in them either...
Are you doing pavement running? In all honesty, I would really, really highly recommend you get yourself a pair of Salomon XT Wings - they are around $200 but I swear, they are the best shoes ever. They have a great cushion system throughout the heel that disperses pavement shock all the way through the shoe so that you don't get any jarring. Plus, they have a kevlar lacing pully - i.e. No laces. I have... three pairs of Salomon shoes, each for different events but the XT Wings are a great all rounder for off road and pavement. *highlyhighlyrecommend!!!*
