Halloween Family Get Together

Bethany and Leila decorated the loungeroom.  There were also bats, and a garland of painted Jack O Lanterns in the kitchen.
Damien and Bethany's Pumpkin
I bought a carving pumpkin for each family (5 total) and there was a lot of time spent spooning and stabbing and sawing away messily in the kitchen.  We prepared ours before family started to arrive.

Nice to have Stephen, Mya and the girls along, and good to see Sam too (it has been a little while).
The girls and I made gingerbread biscuits, and we decorated them together.  Damien's parents also visited during the afternoon.

Jordan also came to the rescue, finding and rescuing our escaped guinea pi.  I don't think I blogged about his help at Hannah's party: Jordan went to extreme measures to try and find Bethany's glasses when they disappeared into the Richmond River.  That kid's a legend.
All lit up
We also watched a Halloween episode of "the Bear in the Big Blue House". Next year I'll buy all my pumpkins at the last minute, because the prices came down hugely.

I made an orange jack-o-lantern too.  Here it is a few days old and starting to warp.
