School Holidays - ice skating and plastic cups

I finally made the time to sew up these rainbow trousers for Bethany and Leila (I made Hannah's some time ago).  They are the happiest looking warm trousers ever, and I wish I had a whole lot more of the fabric.  Not enough left for another pair I'm afraid, which is sad, because Hannah's little ankles are sticking out of hers more and more.

What do you do with Rainbow Trousers?  Why, anything you like, but especially go ICE SKATING.

The walkers were awesome.
By the way, Hannah's rainbow pants are there, they are just layered over.  She needed both the warmth and the padding!  Wish I'd had a bit of padding actually.
We had the rink pretty much to ourselves
There was a figure skater and a very small group of other skaters when we arrived, but then we were on our own.
Hannah and I figured out a way for me to skate fast holding the walker, while she pushed her feet forwards and held them close together.  She is a bit of a thrill seeker, and liked going fast.
Leila got a bit frustrated, but did quite a good job.

The rest of the pictures in this post are of a really good holiday toy that we picked up at the supermarket:  Plastic cups!  They were great fun for quiet play at all levels of ability.
