Tired

I asked permission to post this picture!  It is a good summary of how we have both felt over the past few weeks.   Things just all happened at once:  Leila's birthday, the Jazz exam, Damien's music exam, his complicated job application and my difficult work situation.  All now mostly resolved (Job interview and ballet exams are on this  Friday).  I got behind in blogging because there just weren't enough hours in the day.
This picture was taken on Sunday towards the end of Leila's family birthday dinner.  Damien was literally falling asleep at the table.
I also fell asleep at the table earlier in the day (twice).  I was sitting reading, then just put my head down for a bit...
There is so much to do for Birthdays.  I spent a lot of the day cooking, and then stayed up late doing pacemaker paperwork.  On Monday I had to get the house birthday-party-ready for Leila's school friends.  The washing got behind schedule because of all the mess I had to tackle.  It is very hard to pick up after everyone, and I had let the kids be lazy because of Leila's birthday
Of course when I hung up all the washing we were hit with near-record rainfall!  Granny ended up taking it all in for me a day or two later.
