This drives me mad at times: Hannah likes to be clean. If she gets dirty she likes to get changed immediately. Preferably into something pink, and absolutely never without a skirt (that's why she always has something over the top of her more sensible clothing). She refuses pajamas too (which actually makes my job easier in the mornings, so why fuss?).
We had eggy bread for lunch on Sunday. She enjoyed being allowed to spread the golden syrup on by herself, but it dripped all over her.
Now here is the frustrating part: Hannah always insists on a change of clothes the moment she realises she is dirty. She thinks I must agree that this is absolutely the number one priority in the universe. Unfortunately, when Hannah has barely started a meal that is almost certainly going to get the next outfit messy too, I'm not at all keen on complying. It is a battle: "just keep eating" I say: "we'll get you changed at the end of lunch, when you've finished".
It rarely works. Hannah won't sit down in her chair until I remove the offending articles of clothing. I'd be happy with that if she'd eat in her underwear, but Hannah doesn't like to be naked for very long, and will drag me (pulling on my skirt) up the corridor pleading "clothes on Mummy" till we get to her drawers. She likes to choose her outfits too, and she hates bibs.
And why is it that they wipe their faces on their sleeves? I can't get too upset when its a gorgeous adorable face like that though can I?
I guess I just have to laugh, persevere and remind myself that she probably won't be so unreasonable about the issue in a few months time.

Aaahh the joy of independance. xxx
So you need a number of frilly pink pinnies, or gorgeous aprons... maybe even a special just for eating pinnie? Nah, she'd be onto you, just a great assortment of frilly pink pinnies, that can be changed as required.
